Are you enclosing your code with the TEX tags?

without tags: \sqrt{\frac{x}{y}}

with tags: $$\displaystyle \sqrt{\frac{x}{y}}$$

#### hedi

\sqrt{\frac{x}{y}}
it does not convert to mathematical symbols
sorry for the deep ignorance.

If you click the "reply with quote" or the "go advanced" you should see a $$\displaystyle \Sigma$$ on the toolbar. Click that tab. You will see appear. Type the Latex code between them. Or else, highlight the code and then click the $$\displaystyle \Sigma$$

So $$\displaystyle \sqrt{\frac{x}{y}}$$ gives $$\displaystyle \sqrt{\frac{x}{y}}$$

#### hedi

$$\displaystyle \frac{2+sqrt{x^2+3}}{3x+2}-{x-2}$$

Thank's a lot.
