Hello

I am having trouble with the following questions.

for the function f(x) = 1/x where x is not equal to 0

a. find f(x+h)

b. expand g(x) = (f(x+h) -f(x))/h in terms of x and h

Any help would be appreciated.

(a) simply replace x with x+h

(b) g(x)=(1/(x+h)-1/x)/h

just do a direct substitution
