    solve

    How do i solve the equation:

    3 cos x - sin x/2 - 1 = 0

    in the interval 0<x<720

    Hi

    \cos x = 1 - 2\sin^2\left(\frac{x}{2}\right)

    which leads to a quadratic in \sin\left(\frac{x}{2}\right)
