Hi

It means that the domain is $\displaystyle \mathbb{R}$ except the set of reals x such that there exists $\displaystyle n \in \mathbb{Z}$ such that $\displaystyle b(x-h) = (2n+1)\frac{\pi}{2}$ - Apr 1st 2009, 03:59 AMHallsofIvy
In other words, everywhere except where the argument of tangent is an odd multiple of $\displaystyle \pi/2$, since tangent is not defined there.
