The problem is:
A pair of figure skater graphed part of their routine on a grid. The male skater's path is represented by the equation m(x)=3sin1/2x and the female skater's path is represented by the equation f(x)= -2cosx. On the accompanying rid, sketch both paths and state how many paths of the skaters intersect between x=0 and x=4pie(3.14). In additon to answering the question I need to know the range or scale factor for the x axis and y axis.

I am sure for homework you cannot use software. But I am going to show a computer generated image to help you do your homework. (The male is black and woman is red.)

(I just have to mention that I watched 70+ hours of the Winter Olympics (yes I watch I lot) and nobody skates in this manner. If they are doing a pair skating they cannot skate like this if they want big points. Furthermore, in Ice Dancing they do not dance in the sinusoid manner, rather in a epicycloid).
