    roots between 100π and 1000π Praxis II

    A question from a recent Praxis II exam states which has more roots between 100π and 1000π?

    a. cos(x)
    b. cos(x)^2
    c. cos(√(x))

    If cos(x)^2 means cos(x^2) then it will win, it has an absurdly large number of roots in that domain compared to the other two.

    If
    cos(x)^2 means (cos(x))^2 then it will be a tie with cos(x)

    The one with the root has very few roots in the domain compared to the other two.
