just few questions..im just checking my work if i arrived with the right answer.

1.equivalent expression to (1 + tan x)/sec x?

2. the exact value of csc (4pie/3)?

3. the phase shift of the function defined by the expression y= 4 sin(2Ө-6)?

4. the amplitude of the function defined by the expression y= 4 sin [2pie/5(t-9)]?

thank you so much...i was just having problem solving this question...i appreciate all your help.....

It's "pi" not pie!

1. There are any number of equivalent expressions to (1+tanx)/secx. One would be:
$sin(x) + cos(x)$, where $cos(x) \neq 0$

2. $csc(4 \pi/3) = \frac{1}{sin(4 \pi/3)} = \frac{1}{-sin(\pi/3)} = - \frac{1}{\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}} = -\frac{2}{\sqrt{3}}$

3 and 4. $y(x) = A sin(kx - \phi)$
where A is the amplitude, k is the wavenumber, and $\phi$ is the phase shift.
