    Post Stuck on trig

    I am rotating a 2 perpendicular fixed lines 6.5°.
    How would I calculate Y1 (vertical change of the end points) and X1 (horizontal change of end points)?

    Hi

    Using complex numbers (there are other methods) I can find :

    X_1 = 2500 \cos(6.5°) - 3000 \sin(6.5°) -2500 = -355.68

    Y_1 = 2500 \sin(6.5°) + 3000 \cos(6.5°) - 3000 = 263.72
