Vector: Three Force Question
Sup, I'm back again:D

Forces of 5 N, 2 N, and 12 N, all lying in the same plane, act on an object. The 5 N and 2 N forces lie on opposite sides of the 12 N force at angles of 40 degree and 20 degree, respectively. Find the magnitude and direction of the resultant.

I have no clue what the diagram should look like. Is it in 3 dimensional?
If so how would I go about solving for the magnitude and direction?

No, it's not 3 dimensional! I'm sure you can see why. The diagram looks like the one attached.
