    [SOLVED] Trigonometric Identities Help!!!

    Hi, stuck on his question for about 15min and counting. I dont understand how they got the answer

    Simplify.

    1) 1 - Cos^2x
    (answer is sin^2x)

    2) 1 - Sin^2x
    (answer is cos^2x)

    Use the well-known identity \cos^2x+\sin^2x=1
