    Solving a trig euqtaion involvong tan and cot

    sorry for so many questions..
    tanx - cotx = 0
    do i use cot = 1/tanx?
    and how??

    The equation re-arranges into \tan^2 x - 1 = 0.

    Yes it does by multiplying both sides by \tan{x}.
