The question is:
A coast Guard spots a boat on a bearing of 040 degrese and at a distance of 350m. He can also see a tree due to him. The tree is due south of the boat. Draw a scale diagram and meashure accurately the distances from the:
i)Boat to the tree
ii)Coastguard to the tree
b)Check by pythagoras to see if your answers are reasonable.

Four towns W,X,Y and Z are situated as follows:
W is 90km north of X,Y is on a bearing 175 degrese and 165 km from X,X is on a bearing 126 degrese and 123 km from Z. Draw an accurate scale diagram to represent the situation.
From your drawing meashure the distances:
a)WZ
b)WY
c)ZY
Meashure the Bearings:
d)Y from Z
e)W from Z
f)Y form W

A walker travels 1200m on a bearing of 165 deg and then another 1500m on a bearing of 210 degrese. By accurate meashurment find how far she is now from her starting point.
What bearing must she walk on to return to base?

Q12.
A fishing boat at 12km/h for an hour due north. It then travels at 7km/h for an hour.
How far is it from its starting point?
What bearing must it travel on to return to base?
Please answear my questions as fast as possible its my homework thanks

I ahve tried to solve these but got nowere.
Have tried lots drawing northline and stuff but just need someone to explain to me how to do it.

i am not on a computer where i have access to software to draw the diagrams. diagrams are a big part of doing these questions. hopefully a member who can draw diagrams will reply soon, or better yet, if you could at least draw the diagrams, you can find a way to post them. otherwise, i will try to answer (mostly provide guidance for answering ) the questions later tonight (if i remember, and/or no one else has responded)

start by plotting a point where you want to be your starting point, and draw the north line from there. bearing is measure clockwise, so you would open angles to the right and draw a new line to show direction.

example, say the bearing was 45 degrees.

then the diagram you would draw would look kind of like a "v" with the left line vertical, and the right line at 45 degrees to the vertical line. the left line is your north line, the right line is the bearing-direction
