1. ## Need confirmation of 2 trig problems, please...

OK, I have 2 problems that I did that I need to know if they are correct. Here they are:

1. Find the following graphs of y. Give the amplitude, its maximum and minimum and its period.

y= 3sin1/3x Amp=3 period=2pi/1/3=2pi*3/1=6pi
Max=c+a=0+3=3
Min=c-a=0-3=-3 Since there's no c value I put 0...is that correct?

2. Find Amp, Max and Min, period.
y=tan2x
Now, there's no amp, maxormin values, right? There's only its period which is: 2pi/2=pi

I hope you can follow my problems and let me know if they are correct.

Thanks!

All correct except the period of $tan(2x)$. The period of $tan(x)$ is usually $\pi$, so the the period of $tan(2x)$ will be half that.

(Only $cos(x)$ and $sin(x)$ have period $2\pi$... [tex]tan(x) has period $\pi$!)
