    Exam Question

    The elevation of a tower from two point, one is due east of the tower and the other due west of it are 20degrees and 24 degrees, respectively, and the two points of observation are 300m apart. Find the height of the tower to the nearest metre?

    Help please!!!

    Did you make a drawing?. That always helps.

    Let y=height of the tower.

    Per the diagram, we have:

    tan(20)=\frac{y}{300-x}

    tan(24)=\frac{y}{x}

    Solve for y
