Thread: Easy right triangle problem

Hypotenuse of a right triangel = 20cm
The sum of the other two legs is 28cm. Find the lengths of other two sides.

Let the one of the legs of the triangle be x
Let the other leg of the triangle be y

x + y = 28 ------ Eqn 1
x^2 + y^2 = 20^2 ----- Eqn2

Find x and y.

x = 14.62
y = 13.63

That's correct .
