Hi. I'm new here and I'm pretty bad at trig. I hope someone can help me solve these problems.

Show that the following identity is true:

tan(x)/1-cos(x) = csc(x)(1+sec(x))

and

Find the exact value of the following: csc (9pi/4) and tan(23pi/4)

Hint: Multiply the LHS by $\frac{1+\cos x}{1+\cos x}$ and simplify...

Note that $\frac{9\pi}{4}=2\pi+\frac{\pi}{4}$ and $\frac{23\pi}{4}=6\pi-\frac{\pi}{4}$
