    Couple problems.

    Hi. I'm new here and I'm pretty bad at trig. I hope someone can help me solve these problems.

    Show that the following identity is true:

    tan(x)/1-cos(x) = csc(x)(1+sec(x))

    and

    Find the exact value of the following: csc (9pi/4) and tan(23pi/4)

    I'll be very grateful for any help. Thanks!

    Hint: Multiply the LHS by \frac{1+\cos x}{1+\cos x} and simplify...

    Note that \frac{9\pi}{4}=2\pi+\frac{\pi}{4} and \frac{23\pi}{4}=6\pi-\frac{\pi}{4}

    I gave enough hints so you can attempt the problems. If you get stuck, let us know.
