    I'm guessing you mean ...

    \frac{\cos^2{C}-\sin^2{C}}{\cos{C} - \sin{C}}

    if so, then notice that the numerator is the difference of two squares, and will factor.

    then maybe something will divide out, you think?

    btw ... in future use grouping symbols to make your expressions more clear to those that read them.
