    Simplify

    (cos80 ) +( 1/cos40 )

    assume that: \beta = 40

    then:

    \cos2\beta + 1/\cos\beta

    is equal:

    \cos^2\beta-\sin^2\beta+1/\cos\beta

    since we have: \sin^2\beta = 1-\cos^2\beta

    so

    \cos^2\beta-(1-\cos^2\beta)+1/\cos\beta

    simplifying it; we have:

    2\cos^2\beta+ \sec\beta-1
