# distances with angles

distances with angles
Station Q is situated at a bearing of 065 degrees from station P whereas station R is situated at a bearing of 312 degrees from station P. Q and R are 700 m and 1.4 km respectively from P. Find
(a) The distance of Q from R
(b) the bearing of R from Q

(a) 1766.453928 m
(b) 290 degree 8 minutes

(a) 1793 m
(b) 290 degree 58 minutes

What I would like to know that is the difference between the two answers negligible? I'm quite sure I've got it right. Anyone able to correct me or backup my answer? Thanks in advance.

Question 1

You can use cosine law(did u learn it?), if so we have the 3 variables 1.4,0,7 and the angle between them 48+65=113 and by using the formula we will get the answer which is the same as the book

I used the cosine rule and i got my answers above. well , it seems i made a mistake then. THanks
