# Thread: finding the function value

1. ## finding the function value

Construct an appropriate triangle to complete the table. (0 ≤ θ ≤ 90°, 0 ≤ θ ≤ π / 2)

(deg) 120°

Function Value ?

OK, I found the degrees which was 2pi / 3 radians (180/ pi radians) = 120°

but now how do I find the function value?

Do you have to calculate basic trignometric function for this value??

$\sin \frac{2 \pi}{3}= \sin 120^\circ = \frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}$

$\cos \frac{2 \pi}{3}= \cos 120^\circ = \frac{-1}{2}$

$\tan \frac{2 \pi}{3}= \tan 120^\circ = - \sqrt{3}$

$\csc \frac{2 \pi}{3}= \csc 120^\circ = \frac{2}{\sqrt{3}}$

$\sec \frac{2 \pi}{3}= \sec 120^\circ = - 2$

$\cot \frac{2 \pi}{3}= \cot 120^\circ = -\frac{1}{\sqrt{3}}$

3. No, you gave me the answer. I just needed to understand how to determine the function value for sine. I got it now thank you very much!
