# Thread: Test yourself Find the missing data.

1. ## Find the missing data.

a.) v = 54Π cm / min, w = 1.5 rev / min

b.) Ø = 315⁰, t = 15 sec

c.) Ø = 3Π/2, r = 35 cm

d.) s = 25.4 cm, r = 19 cm

e.) r = 25 cm, w = 8Π rad / min

Given Formula's:
v = wr
Ø = s/r
r=s/Ø

use the formulas you were given and calculate what you don't know. for example, for (d) you know r and r, so use the second formula you were given, plug in s and r and solve for $\theta$

I already got the answer of b,c,d and e. My only problem now is a. Since using the v=wr and both v and w are given the missing data would be the r=?. So how will i do that?

yes, you are given v and w. use the first formula

5. Can you give me idea on how to transpose that formula to find r?

r is being multiplied on the right side by w. to get rid of w, perform its opposite operation. that is, divide both sides by it. you get:

r = v/w
