The trigonometrical ratio of cos is given by base/hypotenuse So, In your question base is √3 and hypotenuse is 2. So,your 2 has come from hypotenuse.
Hello, Lovely07! There's an obvious typo . . . recall what the question is asking. The last line should be: .$\displaystyle {\color{blue}\cos\theta} \:=\:\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}$
