I am stuck on these 2 problems. Any help would be appriciated. Please show me the steps so that I can see where I am missing it.
Find the exact value:
sin[arcsin 1/3 + arcsin(-2/5)]

second problem: verify as an identity:
2tanx secx cscx = 2+2tan^2x

2. here's a hint for the first problem ...

$\sin(a+b) = \sin{a}\cos{b} + \cos{a}\sin{b}$

second problem ...

the left side will simplify to $\frac{2}{\cos^2{x}}$ ...

then use the Pythagorean identity $\sec^2{x} = 1 + \tan^2{x}$
