Basic trigonometry
Please explain each step clearly. My test is tmr and you'll be a lifesaver =D

for 1. if N=4 the d=4-2sin(3x+5).

Assuming x is between 0 and 2pi, then sin(3x+5) can take maximum and minimum values of 1 and -1.

Hence, d is between 2 and 6

2. a) Substitute t = $\frac{5}{6}$ and then solve.

b) I assume this is a measurement of force... Let the equation equal 4 and solve for t, taking the last t value in the 5 second observation as your answer.
