    trig equation

    how do i solve for an exact answer for
    0= sinx + xcosx on interval [0,2pi]
    i got (tanx)/x = -1 but that doesnt really help me

    You're not going to get exact answers...>_>

    You'll have to approximate them.

    You'll get 3 values that fall in the domain [0,2Pi] : x=0, 2.02875783811 and 4.91318043943

    EDIT: I got the values for x by solving the equation tan(x)=-x...
