Thread: Need Help with Yr 10 Trigonometry

My year 10 daughter is having difficulty with triangles. She has worked out the side(mm), angle (degrees) and Sine of Angle, but can't work out the Ratio (side length/sine of angle).
Here are the three problems. We would really appreciate any help with this:

Problem 1
side: 80mm
Angle : 47 degrees
Sin A = 0.73
Ratio...?????

Problem 2
side: 50mm
Angle : 27 degrees
Sin B = 0.45
Ratio...???

Problem 3
side : 105mm
Angle = 106 degrees
Sin C = 0.96
Ratio...???

It is all in there, Ma'am.

If ratio = (side length) / (sine of angle), then,

for Problem 1,
ratio = 80 / 0.73 = 109.59 mm

Same way on the other problems.

My daughter said there is another question that says:
"Comment about the results in the last column?"

Would you know what that means?
