    Need help finding solutions

    Find all Solutions
    Tan^2 x + Tan x = 0

    im having extreme difficulty with this problems

    Did you forget your basic algebra?


    Find all solutions: . \tan^2\!x + \tan x \:= \:0

    Factor: . \tan x(\tan x + 1) \:=\:0

    Then we have: . \tan x \:=\:0\quad\Rightarrow\quad x \:=\:\pi n

    And: . \tan x + 1 \:=\:0\quad\Rightarrow\quad \tan x \:=\:-1\quad\Rightarrow\quad x \:=\:\frac{3\pi}{4} + \pi n
