    A MAPLE TREE CASTS A SHADOW THAT IS 15 FT. LONG. AT THE TIME, A CHILD THAT IS 4 FT. TALL CASTS A SHADOW THAT IS 2.5 FT. LONG

    WHAT IS A PROPORTION THAT DESCRIBES THIS SITUATION?

    WHAT IS THE HEIGHT OF THE MAPLE TREE?

    WHAT IS A PROPORTION THAT DESCRIBES THIS SITUATION?

    WHAT IS THE HEIGHT OF THE MAPLE TREE?
    If 4ft ->2.5ft
    let us say x -> 15ft

    therefore x= (4*15)2.5

    describing the proportion

    To describe the proportion:

    The height of the maple tree is to the height of the child as the shadow of the maple tree is to the shadow of the child.
