    The reciprocal of secx

    Hey guys, was just wondering if the reciprocal of secx, was infact cosx.

    For example, 1/secx
    = 1 / 1/cosx
    = 1 * cosx
    = cosx

    Also, is 2secx = 2/cosx or 1/2cosx?

    The former:
    2 \sec x = 2 \cdot \frac{1}{\cos x} = \frac{2}{\cos x}

    Simply replace whenever you see the sec(x).
