He posted a scanned large image of handwriting which was hard to read. He typed it and it's better now

For the problem : there's something disturbing me : the condition of applying the formula is that tan(x)=tan(x+a)

If you take a=pi/3, tan(x) is not = to tan(x+pi/3)

(i wonder how you typed it...)

there's a typo. The first = obviously should be a multiplication.

Your answer and the books answer do NOT appear to be exactly equivalent. Your answer looks more correct. The book appears less correct. This is the problem when part of the answer has been rounded to a certain decimal approximation (in the case of the book, 1 decimal place) ....
