    Your friend is incorrect. It would appear the only one is 108.42 degrees

    cos(108.42)=-0.316

    cos(246.4)=-0.400

    For cos(\theta)=-.316 there is only 1 value of theta. If your teacher wants you to find 2 values, then he obviously means as well as cos(\theta)=.316, whose value would be 288.4. It's just your answer +180.
