    Finding x-intercepts of trig. graphs

    DIRECTIONS:find the x-intercepts of the graph. Use a graphing utility to check your solutions.

    y=sin pi*x / 2 +1

    (sorry I don't know how to encorporate any of the math symbols)

    there is a graph under that looked like this..

    the textbook says the answers are -1, 3


    Could anyone please help??

    You look at the graph to find the x-intercepts
    When you look at it, at what points does the curve intersect with 0?
    x = -1 and 3
