    Need help with solving this trig equation

    Hi, I need help with solving this problem:

    (sinx+2cosx)/(sinx-cosx)=2. Find the exact value of tan2x.

    Any help would be appreciated

    multiply both sides by (sinx-cosx)

    do the algebra and see what it tells you about the relation between cosx and sinx.

    then take tan2x and split it into sin2x/cos2x and expand that out using trig identities.

    Then plug in what you found from your equation above.
