    Solving tan equation

    Please help me solve:

    tan (3y/2) = 3.7

    I can't seem to find the right solution. Thanks.

    You have,
    \tan (3y/2)=3.7
    Then, if you use arctangent you get,
    3y/2\approx 75^o
    Thus, (multiply by 2)
    3y\approx 150^o
    Thus, (divide by 3)
    y\approx 50^o

    But besides for 50 degrees there are infinitely many angles which make this true, would you like me to find them also?
