Note that the slope of the curve at B is negative, so the tangent to the curve is negative. Assuming the question is "the value of the tanget of the point B is closest to ..." which one of the multiple choices is closest to being a negative number?

Have you learned what the slope of a line is - "rise over run"? If a line rises from left to right it has a positive slope, and if it falls from left to right it has a negative slope.

Oh ! sorry , I forget that ....... ok so the nearest solution is E as there is no -ve number within the other choices

I would say that the answer is B, since 1 is the nearest to a negative number of the 4 choices that are given.
