Can't you draw a graph of the function given the values on your table?
Give a complete graph of each polar equation and also identify the type of polar graph.
I have no idea how to do this problem and how the solutions came up with all these answers for cos theta and r = 2+2costheta

In the solutions manual, it says its a "cardioid" polar graph.
The solutions manual also gives me a chart that has theta, cos theta, and r = 2+2costheta on the left hand side and on the ride hand side, it says 0 degrees = 1 for cos theta, 0 degrees = 4 for r = 2+2costheta, then 30 degrees = 0.9 for cos theta, 30 degrees = 3.7 for r = 2+2costheta, 60 degrees = 0.5 for cos theta, 60 degrees = 3 for r = 2+2costheta , 90 degrees = 0 for cos theta, 90 degrees = 2 for r = 2+2costheta, 120 degrees = -0.5 for cos theta, 120 degrees = 1 for r = 2+2costheta , 150 degrees = -0.9 for cos theta, 150 degrees = 0.3 for r = 2+2costheta , 180 degrees = -1 for cos theta , 180 degrees = 0 for r = 2+2costheta , 210 degrees = -0.9 , 210 degrees = 0.3 for r = 2+2costheta, 240 degrees = -0.5 for cos theta, 240 degrees = 1 for r = 2+2costheta, 270 degrees = 0 for cos theta , 270 degrres = 2 for r = 2+2costheta , 300 degrees = 0.5 for cos theta, 300 degrees = 3 for r = 2+2costheta , and lastly, 330 degrees = 0.9 for cos theta, and 330 degrees = 3.7 for r = 2+2costheta.
