Find all x in degrees, 0 <= x <= 360 without calculator
sinx = -sqrt(3)/2
cotx = sqrt(3)/3
x = arctan(-1)
I have an idea how to do these, but I just need to make sure and see the work done. Thanks in advance
Well I remember somethings about inverse function being only in specific intervals, for example Sin only in quadrants 2 and 3, but whenever I solve this using the angle -60 degrees, I get the angle 120 and 240, while the correct answer is actually 240 and 300. Am i just messing the quadrants up? Also for the cotangent one, I took the inverse of sqrt(3)/3 and got sqrt(3), which is equal to 60 degrees, however going back to my possible misconceptions about the intervals, I get the answers 60 and 300 while the answer is 60 and 240
