Line tangent to a circle
I am using a drawing program to construct an array of circles. The Circle is made up of 32 short lines and the data known is shown in the pictures below.

My question is concerning “Line A”. Drawing an infinite line at 11.3 degrees is it possible to work out a length when that line will strike another circle at the same point. I need this because of the way the drawing program works. It draws a short line for X distance then lifts the pen for X distance.

Hope this makes sense.

I don't understand what you mean by "strike another circle at the same point." What do you mean by "the same point"?

Re: Line tangent to a circle
Okay if you look at the second picture (a close up view of the circle). You will notice a red segment of the circle at about 11.3 degrees off of horizontal. If we were talking about the bottom segment (horizontal segment) of the circle then the distance to the same line (on the same plane) on the next circle would be the circle centers (100).

Because the red segment is at 11.3 degrees then it is not easy to find when (if ever) it will strike another circle along the 11.3 degree plane.

Does this help?

Why don't you post clearer pictures?
At least for me or on my computer they are unreadable.

If you click on the pictures then they open up in a new window (larger).

They are clear on my computer but if you are still having problems then let me know and I will upload some more images.
