    Solve Trig Equation with one unknown angle

    I have the following trig problem that needs a solution:
    173cos\theta-300sin\theta=80

    Hint: use a linear combination identity on the left side.

    Interestingly, I didn't learn to do that yet. This is a physics problem that could have been solved by drawing it out and using the Sine and Cosine laws, but my teacher is asking us to do it in component. I'll look that up, thanks.
