The attendant contacts a second boat located 14miles from the lighthouse on a bearing of N23degreesW. What is the distance and the bearing of the rescue boat from the stalled craft?

You're given SAS, use the law of cosines. 90-23=67

You have side A=15, angle=67, side B=14

why is 90 degrees subtract from 23?
