    Is this correct?

    This is the question:

    Write the equation of a sine function whose amplitude is 2, has a phase shift of -2, and a period of pi.

    Is this correct:

    y= 2sin (2x+4)

    Re-writing it like this y= 2sin (2x+4) = 2sin 2(x+2) makes a good argument for what you have said.
