    how to find distance of two aircrafts

    Two airplanes leave an airport at the same time. The velocity of the first airplane is 720 m/h at a heading of 67.3. The velocity of the second is 580 m/h at a heading of 102. How far apart are they after 2 h? Answer in units of m

    Okmy answer comes to be 953.89 KM

    I solved it by making right triangles for both legs and usiing Base/Hyp=Cos(theta)
    By calculating base of both triangles and then adding them
    is it correct

    Ok by using law of cosines, my answewr comes to be 1312 KM

    1312.18 km, depending on how accurate you want to be. But you're basically correct.
