    A general question..

My textbook often shows multiple answers to various fractions of sin, cos, and tan. Is there an way to determine whether or not it has two answers, or is it just something I have to memorize?

You can either look at the graph of the function or use reference angles. Either way you are going to be stuck with some amount of memorization.
