The given in this problem implies a contradiction.

Note that $\displaystyle X+(4-X)=4$ so $\displaystyle 49-16=33$.

But $\displaystyle h=\sqrt{33}>5$ which impossible as the hypotenuse is 5.

I'm sorry you're right

I was able to solve it once I understood the whole base was 4-x not just that piece

I was able to get x = -1 and angle A is 101.5

x is negative because it goes to the left of the coords into negatives

The problem was badly written, it is solved now
