Graphing cos^2(x) or any other function like that.
How would the graph of this look like?

Do you need to use the identity to graph it or is it like when you square a parabola to make it x^4 it becomes steeper?

From the double angle formula: $\displaystyle \cos^2(x) = \frac{\cos(2x) + 1}{2}$.
