Thread: finding angle in radians of segment??

Hi,
any help would be appreciated.

segment area =(1/2)r^2(theta-sin(theta))

96=(1/2)14^2(theta-sin(theta))

96=98(theta-sin(theta))

96/98=theta-sin(theta)

how do I solve theta??

I think it will be difficult unless iteration method is used. However, see this solution.
