Assuming you mean $\displaystyle 2\sin^{2}(\theta)+3\cos(\theta)-3=0,$ I would use $\displaystyle \sin^{2}(\theta)+\cos^{2}(\theta)=1$ to change the first term into cosines, and then use the quadratic formula. What does that give you?
