what are the coordinates of the answer?

What is 8 times w and 7 times u?

U, V, and W are vectors.

You do vector arithmetic as follows:
(a,b) + (c,d) = (a+c, b+d)
and k(a,b) = (ka, kb)

Example:
8*(-7,5) = (8*-7, 8*5) = (-56, 40)
(-56,40) + (-42, 49) = (-56 + -42, 40 + 49) = (-98, 89)
