    Combining vectors.

    trigonometry problem


    Preform the indicated operation

    U=(-6,7), V=(-1,2), W=(-7,-5)
    V-(8W+7U)

    what are the coordinates of the answer?

    U, V, and W are vectors.

    You do vector arithmetic as follows:
    (a,b) + (c,d) = (a+c, b+d)
    and k(a,b) = (ka, kb)

    Example:
    8*(-7,5) = (8*-7, 8*5) = (-56, 40)
    (-56,40) + (-42, 49) = (-56 + -42, 40 + 49) = (-98, 89)
