Thread: Trigonometry and Pre-calculus

What is the difference between a trig course and trig as taught in a pre-calculus course? If there is no difference, then why repeat trig concepts in a pre-calculus course?

It's six of one and a half-dozen of the other. Your repetitions could be because a) they want to review, or b) the courses aren't coordinated very well.

I guess we need a little bit of both.

One difference is that a precalculus/calculus course likes to work in terms of radians while a trig/geometry course likes to work in terms of degrees.
