    ive tried distributing the left side of equation ad added the right side of equation... but it gets too farther.. any help?

    On an identity of this sort, I would probably start by getting everything in terms of sin and cos. Where does that lead?

    Work with the left hand side. Apply the well known Pythagorean etc. Please show your working if you need more help (that is, don't just say what you did, show what you did).
